Indie Film Production Checklist
Are you an indie director, producer, maybe an AD or filmmaker? This checklist is for you! I am a film producer who realized that I always made a new to-do list on every production I worked on and always missed things, so I compiled everything together into one resource. This checklist was built from experience, messing up, and figuring out processes to succeed. I wanted to share one of the major resources my teams use to keep our productions running smoothly. Having to-do list after to-do list, is extra work that we want to streamline for all indie filmmakers.
Need a bit more? There’s an extended checklist for interim financing, production audits, and business affairs!
Filmmaker Responsibilities Sheet
Are you co-Producing on a project? Do you find it tough to talk about legal, financial, and other responsibilities when collaborating? Maybe you need a place to start? Who covers overages? Who guides the creative? Who drafts deal memos? Who leads marketing and promotions?
Filmmaker Responsibilities Sheet
If you:
1) Want to make scheduling a project a bit easier?
2) Are planning your production schedule based on a final delivery (ie. grant deadline or film fund deadline)?
3) Need a template but don't know where to start?

Working with creatives who tend to be visual learners, means that a spreadsheet with numbers is usually overwhelming. This work-back schedule was created with artists in mind.
